LAS VEGAS – Carter Bryant scored a game-high 19 points to help the San Antonio Spurs take down the New York Knicks, 70-49, at the 2026 NBA Summer League on Saturday.
Bryant, pick No. 14 overall in the 2025 NBA Draft by the Spurs, shot 7-for-10 from the field and a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond the arc. Ja’Kobi Gillespie, taken No. 42 overall, dropped 14 points, two 3-pointers, five rebounds, five assists and two steals with only one turnover.
After grabbing a 16-10 edge through 10 minutes of play, the Spurs took complete control in the second quarter. They outscored New York 23-7 and went into the halftime break with a commanding 39-17 lead.
The Knicks did fight back somewhat in the third, winning the frame 20-13 to cut their deficit to 52-37 going into the fourth quarter. San Antonio never faltered, however, and maintained its double-digit lead to the finish line.

The Spurs and Knicks both shot well under 40%, with San Antonio finishing at 36.6%, and New York at just 26.5%.
Maliq Brown tallied eight points, eight rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block for San Antonio.
Tyler Nickel, drafted No. 47 overall, was the Knicks’ leading scorer with 16 points and a game-best four 3-pointers.
Pacôme Dadiet finished with 13 points and three rebounds, while Jack Kayil chipped in 12 points, five boards, three assists and two steals off the bench.
San Antonio (1-1) will square off against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday (9 ET, ESPN), while New York (0-2) will look for its first win of Summer League against the Detroit Pistons on Monday (4 ET, Prime Video).
